Penalties for Cultivation or Drug Manufacturing
In Michigan, drug manufacturing is penalized as drug trafficking. Whether
you are alleged to be the owner of a grow house, of accused being involved
in the manufacture of methamphetamines, or other drug manufacturing operation,
whether small or in a large-scale, the consequences of a conviction will
be extreme. You will be charged with a felony if you are accused of being
involved in any capacity, such as in the transportation or delivery of
the drugs. In Michigan, if you are caught in possession of up to 50 grams
of marijuana, and you are being charged with manufacturing you can be
fined $25,000 and face a prison term of up to 20 years. If you are in
possession of larger quantities, the penalties will be increased substantially.
An innocent person growing a few plants for personal use could face a
long prison sentence if not defended by a highly-skilled Oakland County
drug crime attorney.
